2013 Junior Classics are about to begin on the Coast and we encourage all junior players to support these club events.

Clubs host these events each year to foster Junior Golf in our area and we do expect all juniors both male and female to do the right thing and compete and make each event successful. Every chance to play golf must be a good thing we think.

Accumulate points earned in these events do determine the winner of the Jon Norton Trophy for 2013 so be in it you may be the winner.

The Juniors still have some events coming up to complete the 2013 Jon Norton Trophy Competition. Hyunsik Kong [EL] is the current leader on 43 points there are still several players who are in a position to win so the more events they play – the better chance of winning.

Good Luck to all.

The Association and all its club members would like to congratulate James Gibellini [EL] Simon Viitakangas [PGC] for being selected in this year’s Queensland Men’s State team just announced. Congratulations also must go to Cory Crawford [SC] for being selected as the men’s reserve.

Its is great to see these guys after hanging in there for many years in Juniors to finally achieve the amazing goal of State Selection. This proves to all our Juniors playing now if you get involved heavily in all programs set out by this Association good things can happen.

Well done guys and good luck in the State series.
