Senior Pennant Season kicks off at Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club

The senior pennants season commenced today with our Red Series teams going into battle.  The first match in the series was Emerald Lakes GC taking on Burleigh GC and was followed by Links Hope Island GC battling with Royal Pines GC.  The weather for the start was okay however it soon changed quickly with a coastal front coming in with rain squalls impacting the players making it both challenging and uncomfortable.  However the day ended up with Burleigh prevailing over Emerald Lakes 5.0 to 1.0 and Links Hope Island getting over the line against Royal Pines 3.5 to 2.5.

We look forward to the next round when our Blue Series teams enter the fray together with the ongoing tussle in the Red Series.
